HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INTERESTED IN THE IDEA OF PLANNING WEDDINGS? My background is special event planning, and then I left the firm I was working for. My brother happened to be getting married. I dove into helping him and my now sister-in-law plan for the big day and never looked back.

HOW DO YOU ESTABLISH CLOSENESS AND TRUST WITH THE BRIDE AND GROOM? My couples know they can talk to me about all the wedding details, the good, bad and the ugly as sometimes we get into more personal issues outside just the planning. My job is to listen and help them navigate the best solutions and ideas. I am the neutral party that can help guide them without any judgement as my role is to help give them the best day possible.
HOW IMPORTANT IS ESTABLISHING A CLOSE RAPPORT WITH THE BAND LEADER IN THE SUCCESS OF THE EVENT? WHAT DO YOU DO TO ENSURE THIS COORDINATION AND COOPERATION IS ESTABLISHED? The flow of the event is one of the most important parts of the event, if not the most important part of the party. So, if things feel forced, rushed or stagnant that’s where you need a planner and band leader to create a timeline that makes the evening feel effortless and organic (even though we have carefully orchestrated this behind the scenes).
